Having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have, this is El Brooks-Bo, signing on. (I thought dad would enjoy that greeting hahaha)
Well, thanks for the story, I enjoyed it. It's good to know that I have parents that care.
I gotta be honest, this week really hasn't been that eventful. The highlight of the week was teaching Joe. We went by to teach him and asked him if he had read the Book of Mormon. He said that he had read, and read 5 mins a day! 5 minutes, sure, it isn't THAT much, but that was a huge step for him! And wouldn't you know it, the same week that he started reading, he got promoted at work and got a new huge house for a super good deal!! I think Jacob said something about that right? Seeking for God first, then riches will be added, or something like that. ;) He even said, "It’s kind of addicting. Guys, don't be surprised if I come to church sometime soon. I'm really interested to see what goes on there." WOW. He didn't really want to come to church, but now he wants to!! Testimony that God can change hearts, if we seek to do His will. So things are looking good there. The big obstacle will be getting him and his girlfriend married. Law of Chastity could be a tough one...
I actually have not received the package yet...
I'm actually really happy about the weather! Last week and this week it'll be in the 50's and 60's! BEAUTIFUL! I think there is a chance for snow showers on Friday though, so winter is coming, we just don't know when.
Yeah, the interview with Habtamu didn't really happen. The AP's made it sound like it was an interview. It turns out that it was just a general survey with like 50 other missionaries. That was a letdown. But hey, we gave the church some good feedback, so it's all good. Habtamu's court date is coming up on the 16th, he's pretty dang nervous for it! Well, me too actually!
Also, another thing I was wondering is what I should do with my bike... after this winter, it'll be pretty well used. I think the front fork is bent ever-so-slightly, and it's rusting on some parts. So I don't know if I want to try to sell it or give it away, or take it back home. What I have been thinking though is that I can build a nice road bike for myself and take that home, since the roads in Arizona are so much smoother. It'd be fairly inexpensive to build a bike, I've got hook-ups to parts and tools, and I know how to put at least 75% of it together. (I like to fancy myself an apprentice bike mechanic.) I think that that might be ideal, but I'd like your opinion on it.
Have you made your mormon.org profiles yet? Word of advice, when you make them, it's a lengthy process, so use a word document, then cut and paste. And you have to fill out all the boxes for it to submit.
Haha man, the Cutchen’s never miss a beat! And you're lucky that you can be listening to Christmas music already, we can't listen to it until Thanksgiving!
I think that that is all that I have to say...
Love you all,
ELDER BROOKS
