Well, this week has been great! It's a good day today too, everything is good.
Elder Hanks is doing well. He's a great Elder, just long-winded sometimes. But I really don't find it hard to get along with him. We get along just fine.
Habtamu is doing well, we were supposed to teach him last night, but he ended up not feeling well. I think the stress is still sapping him. But I looked back today and felt a huge wave of peace come over me. Habtamu has such a great relationship with the ward! They want to fast and pray for him that his court date will go well! I feel that I really did my job this time. I could leave right now and know that the ward would take care of him and that he would stay active. I don't care that my white pants didn't get wet. I hope they never have to! Because that to me, means I did exactly what I needed to do.
This week we found a guy, his name is George. He has a wife and two kids that live in Portillo,Mexico and they are active members. So George referred himself and wants to become a member! Haha I honestly think I worked my butt off my whole mission to be in this area! So George will be ready to go once we can get him to quit smoking! The nice thing is that he didn't grow up religious, so he hasn't been indoctrinated with the creeds and false doctrines, which is nice. He's a blank page. So he'll be fixing us breakfast next week and we'll teach him a lesson. And, I'll see if I can help him learn any Spanish, cause he doesn't know any, haha.
Other than that, we've been getting return appointment after return appointment this week! It’s been great! We found two new investigators for the south Elders, and another man that said he was looking for another church because his Lutheran one was "dead" and was always wondering when we would knock on his door. He wants to come to our church!
Miracles, miracles, miracles. It's so awesome!
This week, Elder Hinckley (president Hinckley’s son) is coming to our mission for our mission tour. This time I'll be in the cities to actually see it! That will be a great experience!
Hahaha, did I tell you that Elders can now TEXT??? That’s right, I'm usin’ the good ole, thumbs again! ;) Actually, I enjoy calling more though, it's just more personable. So I'll probably keep it that way.
Glad to hear everything is going well! I'd like to see the Petrified Forest sometime, that would be pretty cool! It was in the 40's this morning. Last week it was in the 70's... Weird how the weather changes around here so fast.
Everything is well, and I love you all!
