So, as you may or may not know, transfer calls were this morning! The crazy thing is that for this last week and a half, the other Elders were planning on me leaving and being a Zone leader, and Elder Sorenson staying and training.... boy, what a trip! We got a call from president last night, and Elder Sorenson is becoming the zone leader in Lakeville, MN, and I'M training!!! Haha It's so crazy! I feel this huge responsibility now, but I think it's going to be so much fun training! It was just a huge surprise, because NO ONE has spent only one transfer in Thunder Bay. But I guess there is a first for everything! So I have no idea who is my trainee. I'll find out on Thursday. Also, Elder Christensen is going to Elk River in the St. Cloud zone. Elder Zweifel is greenie breaking... again.
So our investigators are doing really well for the most part. This week was a little weird, because everything on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday fell through. I think only one or two appointments went through. But it's all good.
We had to push Brad's baptism date back. He's so humble, I don't worry about him one bit. He's as close to "golden" as you can get.
I began writing in my new journal (the one you and I bought dad). In the front cover of my journal, I placed several goals that I want to try to fulfill daily. So I've been reviewing these goals in the morning, and before I go to bed, and am recording how I'm doing, experiences with my goals, and how I can improve on them. One of those goals is to seek the Lord's will through prayer, and through the Spirit. I've made a conscious effort of that.
So that's life at this point. The weather is great, it did rain a couple days last week, and now it's back up in the 60's I'm guessing. I'm still waking up at 5:30, or trying to. It works out for me, and I like it.
So yeah, your boy is training, or as they say here, "having a kid." Gotta shape up I guess!
Love you all,
ELDER BROOKS
