Hey papa y mama mios! (hope I got that right.)
Actually I ran into a lady from South America somewhere and I tried speaking a little Spanish to her. We'll just say it was very, very rusty, haha.
But everything is going great. Received some opposition from a few people on the street and driving by, but it's great. Blessings come, and according to Elder Holland, when that happens, we walk side by side with the greatest missionary the world has ever known, that is, Christ.
Brad is doing so well. He has a date set for June 7th, and he's started to pray differently. He's read the pamphlets we gave him at least (not the Book of Mormon yet) and he's put himself through detox so he wouldn't be able to drink, because he felt tempted to on Sunday. After church he said he was done drinking and that he was sick of it and wanted to stop. So he has a real desire to change and I love his prayers, because every time he thanks the Lord for being able to meet us and listen to what we say. I love the guy. He gets along with the ward great too. It's just meant to be.
Zone Conference was spectacular. They get better every time. This particular time, we were trained on how to really listen and teach by the Spirit and how to resolve concerns by the Spirit. So, like Ammon, we too, to resolve concerns, have been asked to take time during lessons or contacts to really listen to the Spirit, even if we have to wait for an hour. It may only be a moment, or 10 minutes, but we've been asked to seek the will of the Lord, listen for the Spirit, and when you feel that, then we can continue to teach. It's such a wonderful thing. All my studies as of late had pointed to exactly what we learned at Zone Conference. So, I know that what I've been studying has been inspired as well. We practiced this skill, and it was such a sweet experience. I am trying to embrace this new training with all my heart.
So wow, Maddie, ‘Most Outstanding Choir Member’, huh? SUH-WEET!!!
Hope everyone is healthy over there! I woke up in a panic this morning, because I had a dream where my teeth were super nasty and crooked. What a relief waking up, haha.
So far, waking up at 5:30 isn't kicking my butt too bad, but it sure feels like 5:30... whew. I'll get used to it though. I've decided I'll sleep in on Sunday too. But anyhow, that's what's new with me!
Hope all is well, I love you all!
