Whew!

So I can't email Cameron this week?!?!?! Aww man! I'm so looking forward to doing that!!!!

Well, anyways, today was transfer calls, and Elder Fonua and I survived!!! WHEW!!! I was so happy that we are going to be able to stay together another transfer! Also, Elder Marsh is getting transferred out, and Elder Christiansen, our widdle gweenie, (haha) is getting Elder Zwiefel... Weird, huh? So I'll be seeing Elder Zwiefel on a daily basis now! Whew, this mission stuff is crazy!

So, as far as the work is going, Christina is doing really well. She is constantly growing more and more unhappy with the way her church is being run, and she's positive that it's a sign from God. I know it is too heh heh. ;) But anyhow, I think that's just what we are going to do is just lay it out plain and simple for her. I really liked what you said dad about Christ being in the service. I couldn't see him shouting hallelujahs during the service. That is an excellent visual that I'll use for sure for Christina. Anyhow, we’ll commence teaching Christina's 20 year old daughter Alicia, 'cause she wants to know more and kinda wants to follow her mother's example of baptism. So Christina gets interviewed on Wednesday... This whole thing is making me nervous, because the closer it gets, the more hectic it gets. The bad man lets all heck break loose when you set a baptismal date... grrr. Well, opposition in all things.

Actually, Elder Fonua and I thought of some cool, creative ways we can use our talents in our proselyting. Since I can play guitar and sing, we were going to try to set up a booth at the mall of something like that and just sing hymns or primary songs. We'd like to just experiment with it and see if it's any sorts of productive... you never know!!! And also, we were going to sing a song during our lesson at Christina's about eternal families. I remember doing the exact same thing with Elder Fonua in the MTC. I'll never forget that lesson, when we taught volunteers, an older couple. The lesson was awkward, especially since we were new and what not. It wasn't smooth at all, but as we talked about eternal families, the spirit filled the room, and we told them that we'd like to sing them a song that our little children learned in church. We commenced singing, Families can be together forever, and though our lesson was splotchy, and awkward, the song touched the couple deeply, and by the time we were done singing the 1st verse, tears were streaming down their faces. I don't know if it will have the same effect on Christina, but I do know the power behind music, and the spirit it can bring. So we are looking forward to that in a week or two.

David, who is supposed to get baptized on the tenth of April is nowhere to be found... He totally dropped off the face of the earth. He isn't answering, or returning calls, so we are just backing off for now. Same story with Dixie too.

So instead, the Lord blessed us with a new person to teach. His name is Herve. (hair-vee) He is a black guy from France, and he grew up Catholic, though he isn't active now because he said he doesn't feel the spirit in any of the catholic services here. We tracted into him the other day and he was the only one in the neighborhood that said we could come back. So when we came back, he invited us in for tea and cake. (The cake was DANG good too!) We, of course, declined the tea, but downed the cake and discussed with him about the Book of Mormon and how the church came to be, a general Restoration lesson. When we went to ask him to read the Book of Mormon, he said, "No, no, I'll tell you what I'll do. I feel the spirit when I read the Bible, but more when I go to church. So I will go to your church." Then Elder Fonua, "Well, Herve, what happens if you feel the spirit there?"  "Then I know that this is where God wants me to be in my life."

So there you have it. Herve is awesome. He's just one of those genuine people that you love as soon as you meet them. Again, the Lord pours out His blessings upon us, and I am grateful.

So that's it for the work at the moment. I'm just glad to have the "transfer call cloud" gone over our heads now.

That's great about Madison! Tell her I said that I was sad I missed it! I was thinking the other day about how she'll be 16 when I get back, and I'll get to play the "big brother role" scaring all this little kids away that want to date my sister! haha.

HAHAHA I totally laughed at the mention from cam that some elders think they are "the stuff." Cause when I got into the MTC, I saw the same thing. I don't know how it happened, but some elders’ heads were just huge. Their egos couldn't fit in the door. Where that comes from, I don't know.

Well, that's about all I have for now... I love you!
