AH MAN!!! Every time I sit at this computer and think that Cam is on a mission, it gets me all excited all over again. It's just so sweet cause now he can sort of relate to what I'm going through and what not. :)
Wow, see, I would have liked the "bandaid way," but that's my personal choice. I would have done it anyway you wanted it mama. ;) Hahaha! Missionaries chuckling at your tears. It sounds sad, but something elders would do at the same time.
Wow, I can't believe it's still snowing in Utah! It’s in the 40's up here, and I'm DYING to take my suit coat off!!!! It's soo warm! Elder Fonua and I are going running in the mornings now. Yeah, I would love to go on a snowboarding trip after my mission. I wonder how many other elders I could get to go with me too... ;)
Alright, about the work. Christina Boake is doing well. She is still wanting to be baptized, but at this point, if we baptize her, she'll immediately go less active. She thinks our church is a big bore, that there isn't enough hallelujahs and that the hymns are old fashioned and what not. I mean, she didn't say it that harshly, but that's what she means. So it's just time to be bold. She has to accept everything together, or nothing at all. Things need to be done the Lord's way, even if it doesn't seem to be "up to date" or make sense. I'm trying to think of good stories from the scriptures where people don't do things the Lord's way and it doesn't work out for them. I was thinking about Nephi and the liahona and then how Alma expounds on that in Alma 37. Do you know of any other good stories that would help????
David LeGaurd is still doing well. All he needs to do is quit smoking, and he'll be ready!
Elder Fonua and I are going to focus working with active members and less active members, because, as you know, we are supposed to be teaching 20 lessons a week. If we do that, however, it leaves us with very little time to find new people to teach, so working with the less actives and actives, we are hoping to get some referrals from them, so that will be our way of finding.
Other than that, our other two baptismal dates, Breanna and McKayla dropped out, cause their mom. The mom basically came back to church to get a washer and dryer and then just peaced out on us. She was just working the system. In the words of good ol' Brother Boreski, "God's gonna get'cha'."
Our two new investigators, John and Tory are doing well. We taught them about the plan of Salvation and they liked it, but Tory is a little confused/skeptical about the 3 kingdoms, but that's okay, they are both very interested and we are looking forward to teaching them more, they are way cool.
So some our zone leaders up here got midnighted out, and now I have Elder Birkel as my zone leader again. He told me about all the good stuff that is going on in St. Cloud. I guess Andy is doing really well, along with Melissa and some other people we taught. It was really good to talk to him, cause I realized that I really was in St. Cloud for a reason, and Elder Peterson and I really did get a lot of work done. A lot more than I first thought. So that was a boost I really needed.
And that's about all for right now, I love you all.
