-10 Celcius

Whoa whoa whoa... Did you say, "get rid of the car?!" Boy, I sure hope we don't get rid of that thing! I love that car! But, do what you need to do with it.
Anyhow, I did finally get your package! It felt good, seeing as it's the only mail I've received in my three weeks here in Canada! The cookies and the candy were pretty much annihilated; the cookies are always a hit with the other elders, mom, and me too. :)

The only problem is... the camel pack you got me is a little small... My scriptures won't fit in them. Unless you could find me a military sized Bible and Doctrine and Covenants, I won't be able to carry hardly anything with me. I usually have my scriptures, a bike tool, and a few other very small things with me. Boy, I saw this camel pack up here that I really wanted, but it was 107 dollars!!!!! I guess that Canada taxes ridiculously on things imported from China, if I've been told correctly. But the pack looked more like a back pack, but more compact then mine, and not quite as small as the one you sent. It probably would have been perfect, but still over priced for what I need. I really appreciate you thinking about it though... What should I do with it??

Ah man!!!! I still can't believe Cameron is leaving!!!! Cameron, man! Are you exited? What's going through that head of yours?? What are you expecting a mission to be like? Have you been practicing Spanish, or reading from Preach My Gospel??? Tell me Tell me!!!!!

So Elder Fonua and I are doing great! We hit the 20 lessons this week, just barely. We had a crazy day yesterday though! We talked to this one lady who was just getting into her house and she let us in and we taught her and committed her to baptism on the 27th of March. I don't know how solid she is, it almost seemed too easy, but hey, I'm not complaining! Her name is Dixie, and we are going back over on Sunday to teach her, a little longer than I would have liked, but oh well, again, beggars can't be choosers.

So the other Elders, Elder Christensen and Elder Marsh got a call from this Charlie guy yesterday morning before church and said that he wanted to go. So, they got him a ride, and he came to church, and was asking a lot of questions during sacrament meeting to Elder C. Then he left to go to the bathroom, and came and sat back down. Then a minute later, he got all emotional, and walked out to the foyer again, and the Elders followed him. He said he was getting all emotional cause the sister giving the talk had mentioned her father, and he said that his father had just passed away about four months prior. So he said he needed to get a breath of fresh air and he'd be right back. So he stepped outside, and the Elders waited for 10 minutes, then 15, and he never came back. Well, come to find out after church, the second counselor’s car was stolen, and then they later found out that some purchases had been made on their credit cards and what not, so they shut that all down. So, we all figured this Charlie guy rummaged through peoples coats just hanging up, and he stole some sunglasses, the car keys and a wallet, as far as we know. The best part is that this is going to fall on our heads somewhat. People may not blame us, but trust in the aspect of bringing people to church just got shot down, so I'm kind of upset about that.

So yeah, that's my crazy story! Weather here is great, it's -10, and I'm doing great! (Did I mention that it's -10 CELSIUS, and I'm sure it's even warmer now?)

So yeah, things are going great; hopefully no-one gives us too much guff about the US winning the hockey game, there was a lot of hype about it.

That's about all I have to say. I'm not really in need of anything at this point. I'm already starting to pack away some of my heavier winter gear.

Love you all!
ELDER LOGAN BROOKS
