Hey!!!! First off, how in the world did you know that I'm on the comp?!?!?! And second, which I'm sure you already know, is that you won't be able to do the whole MTC experience with Cameron. They stopped that almost right after I was there cause all the H1N1 hub-bub.
So not a ton new here, we had a part member family with date sets, 2 of them, fall through, but that's okay, they will just be pushed back, they will still happen, we just won't know until Tuesday. Well, here, unlike St. Cloud, we aren't teaching 20 lessons. This week we got 6, although we were gone for 3 days because of a zone conference. But it's something to work towards. I think we are going to have to teach a lot of active members, because this area is HURTING for some member work... bad. People need to share the gospel here. It's a good size city.
Well, today is not President’s day in Canada, but it IS Family Day, and pretty much EVERYTHING is shut down, so we’re are E-mailing from someone's house. Gees, even Wal-mart is shut down!
So how are the Olympics?? I hear USA is in the lead for medal count! Oh yeah USA!!!
Well, I'm going to have to send some pictures soon; I haven't really taken any up here yet though. But Elder Fonua and I are seriously like brothers. We get along so well it's ridiculous. I just can't believe it! What are the chances that I get sent up to Canada, with my MTC comp, and for our year mark?!?!?! You could say we hit our 1 year "anniversary. " Hahaha ;)
So yeah, that's what's going on at the moment. We are going to hit this town super hard this week, the weather is warmer, and we need new people to teach. I'm super exited. :)
Interesting that you should mention how this is an important time in my mission; it’s exactly what President Howell said as well, that this will be the best time of my mission. And I don't disagree.
About Canada... there is one ward here, and I think they are struggling. There are about 80 active members I'd say, and there is a ton of drama, which is really hurting the ward. Plus, not any members doing any missionary work at this point, so not much is going on. I hope to change that. (Not single handedly of course.)
Yep, in Canada it's all about kilometers, liters, tewks, bags of milk, and degrees Celsius. It's a little different, but not really that much from the U.S.
Wow Maddie!!! That is a gift I always admired in you, dad, so that's awesome that Madison has seemed to inherit that!!! That is so cool, way to go Mad.
Well, I sure hope you didn't spend a fortune on those pants, I have 3 pairs of slacks, and the ones I bought on my mission I bought both for under 5 dollars, and my favorite pair, with the waist expansions, was a total of 1 dollar. :)
To answer your other questions, I have not gotten the package yet, but it could still come today, I am not the district leader anymore, that mantle falls on Elder Fonua.
Well, I think that it's okay to be proud of your children, I think that is a different kind of pride, no? ;)
Well, I love you all!
