A Heat Wave

Yeah, I actually did get to go fishing last week! We only got to go for like 2 hours, and we didn’t get anything, it was pretty dry. But, maybe we'll go in the near future! I thought it was fun anyways. So yeah, a heat wave! 20 degrees above zero! Wow...

Elder Grondel and Elder Brooks at Zone Conference

In an email to his mom, Elder Grondel said:  So Elder Brooks was there and that was really all I needed. I swear we are brothers. An elder actually told us that we could be. haha But yea me and Elder Brooks had a good time.  He is losing weight too but I'm losing more than he is  - haha. 

So yeah, I totally spaced, and forgot to tell you that we had zone conference yesterday, and so that's why P-day is today. Zone conference was great, just as it always is! I didn't win the tie from memorizing the scriptures this time, but maybe next time! Learned a lot of good stuff and had a really good President’s interview. I love President and Sister Howell. I'm glad they will be here for the duration of my mission!

New news ... not really anything. Elder Peterson and I are trying to teach 20 lessons a week and we only got to 12 this week, but hey, at least we're above the halfway mark! We are going to start teaching active families, because that's what we've been asked to do. The ward is feeling a tremendous amount of pressure since Elder Perry, who came 7 months ago, is coming again for accountability. So, that is good, I hope it doesn't cause any stress between the missionaries and the ward though. I don't think it will. I'll be pretty stoked once we hit 20 lessons a week!

So Elder Peterson and I are definitely in a finding phase. We only really teach one person at this point, so we are going to have to work hard to find new people, but after zone conference yesterday, I'm more than willing to do that!

Oh boy, Cameron's getting ready for the temple! EXCITING! Boy, I wish I could go to the temple... It's really difficult to go to the temple nowadays, cause as a missionary, you have to be within a certain distance, and since the temple is closed on Mondays, and we have to go on P-day, we would have to switch our P-day to another day, and find a member to take us... Whew, it's a lot of work....

That’s about all I can think about... nothing much new is happening... I'll have to work extra hard to see if I'll have some cool miracles or anything happen!
