Mondays are P-Days

Hey!!!

So yeah, Monday is the new Preparation day. As Mom said, it came from the top, just to help us to keep the momentum through the week, so there are no breaks. I will like that.

So I’m pretty jealous Cameron gets to go to Ohio! The Algers, the family that takes really good care of us, they go down to all the theme parks in Florida every two years or so, and I got an invite when I get off my mission, but that is a long time from now - haha.

That’s awesome about the talks! Haha I knew Maddie had the potential to be a good talk giver! Good job Maddie! See, it wasn’t THAT bad, was it? But I really appreciate mom’s talk on missionary work. I’m sure dad’s talk was very well, as usual.

So I’m learning all sorts of things on my mission. I’m finding that the sweet old grandmas are the ones that slam the door in your face and the guy with all the tattoos and piercings will be your best friend. This is so with this guy Nick that we have been talking to. His has lived a straight up thug life. When he was three or four, he lived down in the cities and got picked up by gang members that taught him how to steal, and break into things. The rest of his life he got into gangs and stealing and drugs, pretty much any drug you can think of… He has since gotten out of all of them and has been clean for a while. I find it amazing that he is still alive after the life he has lived. And he is smart too! The drugs didn’t fry his brain like they do to some people. Oh, and Nick is 20. But he said he was sick of that life and he has gotten out of it. Needless to say, we finally built up a relationship enough to talk a little bit about the Atonement and forgiveness and a couple other things. But we also left him with a Book of Mormon, cause he doesn’t work right now and gets bored often and said he’d read it. But wow, after talking to Nick, I will never EVER complain about my life. Man, I have had it easy up to this point! Parents that love me, friends that care, lived in a good area of town, born into the church! I have had a pretty easy life, and I will always try to be grateful for that.

But that’s about it for right now… not much else going on, except that it was in the fifties yesterday and in the sixties today! Ah, so perfect! :)

Haha! Oh man, Cameron and Brigham, I can totally see those two imitating each other. That’s pretty cool for Adam too! Australia! Dang, I’d rather pick up an Australian accent than this northern Minnesotan drawl… Oh well, it will be entertaining for you!

No, Brad hasn’t e-mailed me… and he is allowed to, so says my white handbook… maybe he uses a different email nowadays…

Keep praying for missionary experiences, and never be afraid to tell people you are part of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints! It’s part of your baptismal covenant! But yes mother, talks like yours fire the missionaries up, and hopefully it fired some members up too.
Love you all, and I still haven’t gotten that package!
