I Get a Package . . . NOT

Howdy!

Well dang, I totally forgot my planner, so I won't remember everything I wanted to talk about... First off, I'm quite jealous that the weather is my favorite weather and I'm not there to enjoy it!! :( Oh well, that’s life I guess. Up here it finally reached 80 degrees, and it is pretty humid, but not too bad as of yet. So far it's been beautiful!! All the trees are starting to really bloom, there is so much green up here!

Well I didn't expect all of you to take what I said and turn it into a challenge! Well that’s cool though I guess. Kinda crazy to think Cameron will be taking a semester of college!!! ... Man, I still feel like I'm eighteen!

These last two weeks, when Elder Rush and I headed home, I sang that little tune the little girl sings on Little Rascals, only I changed it a little. "I get a package. I get a package. I get a package hey, hey, hey, hey!" Elder Rush thought it was a little funny when we got home and there was no package for me day after day! But then one day I said it again, and then there was a package for him!! Ah gees mommy, haha I thought you had it all ready two weeks ago! ;)

So yeah, yesterday was Elder Rush's birthday. He is 21 now! But the zone leaders came up, Elder Green and Elder Murdoch. We went on exchanges and tracted and contacted down in Hibbing, and picked up two more potential investigators!! :D I feel like my fear of talking to people is almost gone. Yesterday I was just talking to people, asking questions, and talking to people I wouldn't normally talk to. Like Elder Murdoch and I talked to this one lady that was in her car with the window rolled down, and she wanted to know more! It just feels really good to just talk to everyone I see. You never know who the Lord is going to put in your path.

So Elder Murdoch interviewed me yesterday, just seeing how I was doing and stuff like that. Then he told me that he had made a list of some people that he thought would be good as trainers and gave it to president, and that my name was on the list! So it is possible that I will be training this next transfer! Whoa! But this mission is getting like 60 new missionaries within the next 3 months or so! But wow, most missionaries don't train this early I don't think. Not that it takes a crazy skilled missionary...
(Rumor has it that they will be getting 60 new missionaries, however, there will be about that many leaving as well. That means that there will be alot of newer missionaries that will be trainers!)

So Jesse is doing well. I can't remember if I told you, but he did break down and smoked a few. He is going to recommit though, we see him tonight. He knows this is true, he is just working towards it.

We started teaching this one lady in Virginia, Diana. She is really nice, and is taking the lessons really well! Her biggest hold up is that she doesn't have a lot of self confidence... It's sad cause she has not had a good knack for marrying good guys, most were drunks and whatnot, and her last husband was pretty abusive. It makes me mad really, that guys treat women in such a way! The physical abuse yes, but more that Diana has to build her self confidence back up. That's okay though, cause if anything can do that, it is the Gospel of Jesus Christ! :)

Hmmm, well that's my life in a nutshell right now... But no, not a ton of homesickness to be quite honest. Well, no, I guess I was. I did catch myself thinking about home a little more than usual... But I'll be fine! :) Tell Cameron congratulations for me!! It feels so good to be out of high school!! That's awesome!

Well, if I'm not mistaken, I did write David... do you know if he got it?? That’s all I've got to say.

Love you all!
ELDER LOGAN BROOKS
