Alrighty! Well sorry about Wednesday last week, I wasn't able to get on.. the timing just wasn't good. But I get to get on today because its sort of our P-day for Wednesday, our departure date!! I'm so stoked to finally be leaving! I feel so ready, and at the same time, I feel like I could use another week. So things are great so far. I've only been able to see Jay and Brandt a couple of times because they're on way different schedules, and we were never able to see each other at the same time. But oh well. I'll need to get their addresses please so I can keep in touch with them.
Half of our district left this morning for South Dakota so there are only five of the eight left... it feels lonely... but The MTC is great! And Cameron, if you hear horror stories about the barbers, BELIEVE THEM. I swear I almost lost an ear this morning. That was the most painful haircut I've ever had, like she was trying to cut my head off with buzzers, no joke.
I feel so much more confident than I ever have before! The Referral Center (RC) is great!! We get to call people to confirm that they got their Bible or Book Of Mormon, or whatever they ordered, and I really liked to testify and invite them to read the Book Of Mormon. Sometimes I would pour my heart out to them. Cameron, don't be afraid to do this! Testify OFTEN. Invite them to do things that will help them. You'll feel the joy that comes from doing that. :) I called this one lady that kept asking me if Jesus loved the animals.... she said some missionaries from the "Hairy Christian" church came over and were telling her that animals were evil and then she claims that they later broke into her house and stole her dog. So I made sure to let her know that Jesus did in fact love the animals. But man, you get some wierdies, like one guy I called wanted to know why the Book Of Mormon was called the Book Of Mormon. So I explained it to him, that the man that compiled all the plates was named Mormon, but the book was about Christ. He paused after I told Him this and said, "Okay, so why is it called The Book Of Mormon?" I sighed and explained it to him again, in greater detail and clarity, and he seemed to understand that time. But at the end of the phone call, I said I'd have the missionaries come over, and he said, "Good! Cause I need some answers to some questions, like this this this and why its called the Book Of Mormon." He was dead serious too. I just slapped my forehead. Oh well. I'm having a great time here!
I can't wait to get to Minnesota, because its starting to warm up here.... and they actually encouraged us to try and pick up the native accent of our missions. So uh, I might be talking funny when I get back, just FYI, like apparently, flag=flaig, bag=baig, boat=boot. I have no idea.... but I'm about out of time, and out of stories to tell you.
Love you much,
