Off to the MTC!

Logan, Dan and I left for Utah on Monday, February 9, 2009. We stayed in St. George at Grandma and Grandpa Law's house where we visited with aunts, uncles and cousins. The next morning we drove to Provo to do some last minute shopping and then headed up to Midway where we stayed the night. It was a beautiful drive up with snow in Kingman and snow on the ground north of St. George. Dan and I thoroughly enjoyed our time with just Logan.

Wednesday morning, Logan got up with a big smile on his face. We drove down Provo Canyon in the snow, got some breakfast and then headed to the MTC. I had to laugh because his hands were getting very cold while we were taking his luggage around to the back of the building and it wasn't Minnesota cold!

As we sat during the meeting, Logan was so excited it was contagious. It was emotional, but not as hard as I thought it would be because he was so happy. As soon as we said our goodbye's he was gone and practically ran to the back of the room where the new missionaries were to go. He still had a big grin . . . I'll bet his cheeks hurt!

  1. Wow,What a great day for the Brooks! He looks great, but we want to see a photo of the parents too...redstained eyes and all! Hope you had a great time skiing and feel great about this MAJOR accomplishment as a family! 2 years we'll be in similar shoes. We love you guys and are excited to hear more!

  3. Hey Brooks Family, sounds like Logan is doing awesome! Being the slacker that I am, I have not written to him yet. I guess now I will have to write to his mission since he is leaving in 2 days. I saw Trenton Garner at church yesterday and told him I would call him with Logan's blog. I think it will be really good for him to read it. Can't wait to hear more when he gets in the field.
